Ashburton Astronomy Group welcomes and invites you, to discover more about our Solar System, our Galaxy and environs beyond. View the majestic rings of Saturn, the swirling clouds in the atmosphere of the giant planet Jupiter and the mountains and craters on the lunar surface. Observe galaxies so distant from us, that the light from them has taken many millions of years to reach our telescope.

Meetings are held in Menorlue, Ashburton College, Walnut Avenue at 7.30 pm on the last Tuesday of each month from January to November.
Public observing nights at the Ashburton College Observatory (just behind Menorlue) are held on the first Friday of each non-daylight saving month (April to October) at 7.30 pm, or second Friday if first Friday is unsuitable.
